Several alumni attended an open house held by the undergraduates at the Beta house on Sept 20 before the Texas State football game.  Several alumni and a few actives attended the game and a pre-game tailgate party outside of Memorial Stadium.

 Illinois got behind Texas early when the game was interrupted in the second quarter by thunderstorm. Thegame was delayed and the teams were to their locker rooms. The fans were asked to go into the stadium concourses just ahead of a driving rain and lightning storm.

 After the storm, the game resumed and Illinois came back to beat Texas State by 42 -35.
