Daniel H. Jahns, born 1942, passed away late Monday night, July 6th, 2009, after a courageous five year battle against colon cancer.

Daniel was a Vietnam Veteran and Bronze Star recipient. He led a long and successful career in engineering and real estate, helped found Sentinel Computer Corporation, co-found Village Classic Properties, and worked for both Cincinnati Milacron and the Ohmart Corporation.

He is preceded in death by his son, Nathaniel Patrick Jahns, and survived by his loving wife, Vicki Grometer Jahns, his five children Stephanie Jahns McBride, Katherine Alice Jahns Hamlin, Douglas Bartlett Jahns, Andrew Bradley Jahns, and Elizabeth Jahns Nylander, and his six grandchildren and Spike.

Dan attended the University of Illinois and received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. He was a member of Beta Theta Pi.
